L.A. Mutual Aid Raffle
Design, Art Direction, Social Strategy + Outreach
Overview
In response to the devastating Eaton and Palisades fires, Lauren Lotz and team organized a grassroots raffle to support community members who were severely impacted. The initiative aimed to provide financial relief by directing funds to some of the least-funded, yet vetted, GoFundMe pages for individuals and local businesses in need.
The primary goal was to raise money efficiently and equitably for those most affected, ensuring contributions directly reached community members facing financial hardship.
Approach
Designed social media graphics to increase awareness and engagement on Instagram.
Secured donations from over 180+ brands, resulting in more than 30+ curated raffle baskets featuring goods and services.
Promoted the raffle over a two-week period through organic and community-driven marketing efforts.
Results
The raffle successfully raised over $20k in just two weeks.
Funds were distributed directly to vetted GoFundMe campaigns supporting individuals and small businesses.
The initiative showcased the power of grassroots mobilization and community support, demonstrating how digital marketing and social impact can work hand in hand.
